9Cr2 Hardware Tool Steel Bar

9Cr2 is steel for measuring tools and cutting tools, and its performance is equivalent to Cr2. It is usually used to make cold work dies, punches and dies for stamping dies, and stamping dies. The hardenability of 9Cr2 is better than that of chromium steel. Workpieces with a diameter of 45-50mm can be hardened in oil, with high wear resistance, good tempering stability, poor workability, less deformation during heat treatment, but a higher tendency to decarburize Large, suitable for cutting tools with high wear resistance, less severe cutting and small deformation, such as dies, taps, drills, reamers, gear milling cutters, broaches, etc., and can also be used as cold punching dies and cold rolls.

Quenching and hardening specifications

  1. Quench temperature 330-350°C, hardness 62 ~65HRC, return temperature 130 ~150°C, hardness 62 ~65HRC.
  2. The quenching temperature is 840 ~ 360°C, the hardness is 61~63HRC, the return temperature is 150 ~170°C, and the hardness is 60 ~62HRC.

Application:

  1. The steel is mainly used for medium and small cold rolls and roll dies.
  2. The steel is used to make small cold rolls with a hardness of 62~64HRC, which exhibits early surface peeling failure during use. When the grinding process is changed, the contact fatigue life of the roll is significantly improved.
  3. Used for flat and forming precision pressing dies, large and medium-sized cold heading dies, cold punching dies, etc.
  4. For non-ferrous metal marking precision stamping die, it can replace vanadium steel with a hardness of 58 -60HRC.
  5. Heavy-duty punching dies made of T8A and T10A steel are prone to fracture and collapse due to the shallow hardened layer and insufficient load-bearing capacity. Switching to this steel can significantly increase the service life.
  6. Suitable for all kinds of molds in small and medium production batches and molds that resist impact loads.
  7. Mainly used as various punches.
