It has high acid resistance after quenching. Tempering in the range of 460~480℃ should be avoided to avoid reducing the impact toughness value, which is not conducive to molds with high toughness requirements.

Normal annealing specification:

The temperature is 780~790℃, the steel is air cooled, and the hardness of the steel is 207~255HBS.

General quenching and tempering specifications:

Temperature 820~850℃, oil cooling or air cooling, hardness 60~62HRC, tempering temperature 460~481℃, hardness 41~45HRC

Specification for softening of cold-pressed blanks:

The temperature is 820℃±10℃, the time is 3~4h, and then it is slowly cooled to ≤600℃ at a cooling rate of 5-10℃/h, and it is air-cooled from the furnace, and the hardness is ≤255HBS.

Hot spring softening specifications such as cold-pressed wool embryos:

Temperature 820℃≤10℃, time 3~4h, cooling to temperature 720℃±10℃, time 6~8h, and then slowly cooling to ≤600℃ at a cooling rate of 5-10℃/h, air cooling from furnace, hardness ≤255HBS .

Application:

  1. Mainly used for hot forging dies.
  2. Using the steel billet high temperature tempering and softening process, it can be used for small hot work die billet thickness <300mm, and the softening treatment of old molds before refurbishment
  3. Suitable for plastic food mold steel such as PVC, PP, EP, PC, PMMA, etc.
