HPM38 Mould Steel Bar

 

Hitachi Metals HPM38 (improved by SUS420J2) is a 13CR-based MO-containing stainless steel that has been specially dissolved to provide excellent corrosion resistance and is therefore ideally suited for plastic moulds requiring high hardness and high corrosion resistance. HPM38 heat treatment for small changes in size, suitable for precision heat treatment.

The HPM38 is a 13-chrome Molybdenum-containing stainless steel that has been specially formulated to dissolve and is therefore ideally suited for plastic molds that require high hardness and high corrosion resistance. And it is extremely heat treatment deformation, it is also suitable for precision heat treatment. In addition, good erosion, the mold maintenance is very favorable. Mirror finish is very good, with better abrasion resistance than SUS420J2, without chrome plating. Heat treatment deformity smaller, most suitable for precision molds. Heat treatment: 

Quenching 1000-1050 air-cooled tempering 200-500 air-cooled

 

Factory state: 

Pre-hardened to HB 300-330

 

Application: 

used for wear-resistant corrosion and mirror processing precision plastic mold steel transparent products forming molds, lens cases, cosmetic boxes, CDs, camera parts, etc., flame retardant resin molding tools, appliances, office equipment, telecommunications equipment parts electroless products : Food curtain containers, medical equipment.
