X105CrMo17 Stainless Steel Bar

X105CrMo17 is high carbon chromium steel designed to provide stainless properties with maximum hardness. After heat treatment 1.4125 - AISI 440C attains the highest hardness of any stainless steel. 1.4125 - AISI 440C steel principally has been used in bearing assemblies including bearing balls and races. In addition, it should be considered for cutlery, needle valves, ball check valves, etc.

ASTM A276 standard grade 440c stainless steel is a high carbon martensitic stainless steel, which is generally supplied in the annealed condition with a maximum Brinell hardness of 269 (Rc29) or annealed and cold drew with a maximum Brinell hardness of 285 (Rc31).

AISI 440C steel is characterized by good corrosion resistance in mild domestic and industrial environments, including fresh water, organic materials, mild acids, various petroleum products, coupled with extremely high strength, hardness and wear resistance when in the hardened and tempered condition. Grade 440C stainless steel is capable of attaining, after heat treatment, the highest strength, hardness and wear resistance of all the stainless alloys. Small AISI 440C steel sections can be air cooled and quite large sections oil quenched for maximum through hardness.
