DIN 1.2436 Cold Heading Steel Bar
DIN 1.2436 is a kind of German DIN(equivalent to AISI D6) standard extra-high toughness chromium steel, cold work die steel, with high strength, hardenability, wear resistance and other characteristics. Has extremely high wear resistance and cutting edge retention. It is a widely used cold work die steel with high strength, good hardenability and good wear resistance, but poor impact toughness. It is mainly used for cold punching dies and punches, cold cutting scissors, drill sleeves, gauges, wire drawing dies, stamping dies, thread rolling boards, drawing dies, and thread rolling dies with low impact load and high wear resistance.

Forging of DIN 1.2436 Steel
DIN 1.2436 tool steel is heated slowly and uniformly to 700°C (1292°F) and then more rapidly to 900-1050°C (1652-1922°F).

Application:
