Y12 Free Cutting Steel Bar
Y12 Phosphorus Complex low-carbon free-cutting steel, the existing free-cutting steel in the most phosphorus content of a steel. Commonly used in the manufacture of mechanical properties of the less demanding all kinds of machinery and instrumentation components.
Chemical Composition:
- Carbon C (%): 0.08-0.16
- Silicon SI (%): 0.15 to 0.35
- Manganese MN (%): 0.70 to 1.00
- Sulfur (%): 0.10 to 0.20
- Phosphorus P (%): 0.08-0.15
Mechanical Properties:
- Tensile strength σb (MPa):
- (hot rolling) 390 ~ 540;
- (cold drawn) steel thickness or diameter:
- 8 ~ 20: 530 ~ 755;
- > 20 ~ 30: 510 ~ 735;
- > 30: 490 ~ 685
- Elongation δ5 (%): (hot rolling) ≥ 22; (cold rolling) ≥ 7.0
- Section shrinkage ψ (%): (hot rolling) ≥36
- Hardness: (hot rolling) ≤ 170HB; (cold drawn) 152 ~ 217HB
Application:
Y12 cutting steel often replace the 15 steel manufacturing less demanding on the mechanical properties of various parts, such as bolts, nuts, pins, shafts, fittings and spark plugs and so on.
Delivery Status:
Hot-rolled or cold-drawn state delivery, delivery status should be specified in the contract.
