CW6Mo5Cr4V3 High Speed Steel Bar

 

CW6Mo5Cr4V3 is a high carbon high vanadium high speed steel with high heat resistance, wear resistance and cutting performance than W6Mo5CrV3 and long service life. It can be used to make tools that require high cutting performance, but this steel cannot withstand large impacts.

 

Chemical composition:

 

Carbon C: 1.15 to 1.25 (permissible deviation: ±0.01)

Silicon Si: 0.20 to 0.45 (permissible deviation: ±0.05)

Manganese Mn: 0.15 to 0.40 (allowable deviation: +0.04)

Sulfur S :≤0.030

Phosphorus P :≤0.030

Chromium Cr: 3.75 to 4.50 (permissible deviation: ±0.05)

Nickel Ni: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.30

Copper Cu: Allowable residual content ≤ 0.25

Vanadium V: 2.75~3.25 (permissible deviation: ±0.05)

Molybdenum Mo: 4.75 to 6.50 (permissible deviation: size ≤ 6, ± 0.05; size > 6, ± 0.10)

Tungsten W: 5.00 to 6.75 (permissible deviation: size ≤ 10, ± 0.10; size > 10, ± 0.20)

 

Mechanical properties:

 

Hardness: Delivery hardness: (other processing methods) ≤ 269HB; (annealing) ≤ 255HB. Sample heat treatment system and quenching and tempering hardness: ≥64HRC

 

Heat treatment specification and metallographic organization:

 

Heat treatment specifications: quenching, 730 ~ 840 ° C preheating, 1190 ~ 1210 ° C (salt bath furnace) or 1200 ~ 1220 ° C (box furnace) heating, oil cooling, 540 ~ 560 ° C tempering 2 times, each time 2h.
