DIN 1.2311 Mould Steel Bar

 

DIN 1.2311 plastic mold steel is a conventional smelting (EF+ LF+VD) mold steel, 1.2311 plastic mold steel has excellent polishing and photoetching performance, excellent workability, good wear resistance, uniform hardness of large molds, compact structure, no risk of quenching cracking and heat treatment deformation, no need Heat treatment, shorten the mold production cycle, good surface nitriding performance, can be used for surface flame hardening treatment and other advantages. 

 

DIN 1.2311 is similar to China's P20  special steel, but due to smelting process and technical problems, P20 cannot completely replace DIN 1.2311, and the GB standard 3Cr3Mo die steel can only achieve 70% of the characteristics. 

 

The steel is produced through the "ultra-pure" process, pre-hardened, and presents a high degree of microscopic purity and an excellent homogeneous structure, excellent polishing and photoetching properties. After heat treatment, it has good processing and polishing performance, can be nitrided, suitable for surface treatment such as chrome plating, uniform hardness of the material (up to 400mm thick), good toughness, and good mechanical processing performance. The gold structure is martensite and bainite.

Applications :

 

Suitable for large or medium sized and precise plastic moulds. Tools for hot working such as inter-inserts and heat-stressed auxiliary tools. Cavitations Molds, Standard Mould Base, Compression Mould for SMC, blowing mould, Pet preform mold, plastic piping & plumbing injection molds.
