SM50 Mould Steel Bar
SM50 steel is an excellent carbon mold steel. Its chemical composition is similar to medium-carbon high-quality structural steel - 50# steel, but SM50 steel has higher purity, smaller fluctuation range of carbon content, and more stable mechanical properties. The steel has certain hardness, strength and wear resistance after normalizing or quenching and tempering, and it is cheap and good in cutting performance. It is suitable for manufacturing small plastic molds with simple shapes or low precision and long service life. Plastic molds, etc. But SM50 steel has poor welding performance and cold deformation performance.
