40CrMo Structural Steel Bar
40CrMo steel with high strength, high hardenability, toughness, small deformation when quenching, high temperature high creep strength and long-lasting strength. For the manufacture of steel with higher strength and quarry section than 35CrMo, such as locomotive traction gear, supercharger transmission gear, rear axle, heavy load connecting rod and spring clamp, can also be used 2000m below the deep oil drill pipe joints and salvage tools.
Chemical composition:
- C: 0.35 ~ 0.45
- Si: 0.15 to 0.40
- Mn: 0.40 to 0.70
- P: <= 0.035
- S: <= 0.035
- Cr: 1.00 to 1.50
- Mo: 0.15 to 0.25

Heat treatment specifications:
- quenching 850 ℃, oil cooling;
- tempering 560 ℃, water-cooled, oil-cooled.
Delivery status:
Heat treatment (normalizing, annealing or tempering) or non-heat treatment delivery, delivery status should be specified in the contract.
