2036 Aluminum Alloy Sheet
2036 aluminum is a 2000-series aluminum alloy: the main alloying addition is copper, and it is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the T4 temper. To achieve this temper, the metal is solution heat-treated and naturally aged. 2036 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-2036. Additionally, the UNS number is A92036. It originally received its standard designation in 1970.
2036 alloy is a heat treatable wrought alloy. It is a high strength forging alloy with copper being the main alloying element. The following datasheet will provide more details about aluminium / aluminum 2036 alloy.
