2519 Aluminum Alloy Plate

2519 Aluminum Alloy is a new type of armored aluminum alloy developed by US Alcoa and US Army (USARMY), a 2000, heat-treated, in 1985 in the US Aluminum Association Company (AA) Registration, 2219 aluminum alloy has a high bullet-aged ability than a traditional 5000 wire, and there is no stress corrosion crack sensitivity, the latter inhibits the application of Al-Zn-Mg in weapons and chariots. 2519 Alloy can replace 5000 wire as an alternative armor material, which also has satisfactory solderability, available to armor materials and other commercial applications such as combat vehicles, aircraft.

2519 Aluminum alloy is a high solderability of 2219 aluminum alloy modifications, which reduces copper content and adds a small amount of magnesium. Typically, the copper content is reduced, and the thermal crack sensitivity of the alloy is slightly improved. Although the addition of magnesium contributes to increase the strength, the sensitivity of the thermal cracks during the welding increases.

The key to promoting the alloy application is to develop a reasonable volume of production with good plate and have excellent comprehensive performance semi-finished products, especially hot rolling processes. The thermal deformation of the 2519 alloy is, not only, not only the activation energy (167-81kJ / mO1) is higher than the self-activation capacity of pure aluminum (142kJ / mO1), but it is much higher than most industrial aluminum alloys, this is because it contains copper , Magnesium and other alloy elements.
