2117 Aluminum Alloy Sheet

 

2117 aluminum is a 2000-series aluminum alloy: the main alloying addition is copper, and it is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. It is typically furnished in the T4 temper. To achieve this temper, the metal is solution heat-treated and naturally aged.

 

2117 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will typically be given as EN AW-2117. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is AlCu2,5Mg. The British Standard (BS) designation is 2L69. The AFNOR designation is A-U2G. And the UNS number is A92117
