2195 Aluminum Alloy Bar

2195 aluminum-lithium alloy is an Al-Li-Cu precipitation-strengthened aluminum alloy. It is a new type of aluminum alloy derived from the WeldaliteTM 049 series of aluminum-lithium alloys by Renault in the United States by adjusting the content of Cu and Li elements. The content of Cu element is higher and the content of lithium is lower. In addition, there are a small amount of Mg, Mn, Zn, Ag, Zr and other microalloying elements. The precipitation order and strengthening phase types of Al-Li-Cu alloys are largely The above depends on the Cu/Li ratio. The main strengthening phase in the T8 state is the T1 (Al2LiCu) phase. The alloy has the advantages of ultra-high strength, low temperature performance, high corrosion resistance, and good forgeability. It is a new generation of aerospace in China Alternative materials for the structure of the propellant tank.

Application:

2195 aluminum alloy are successfully used for both cryogenic and non-cryogenic applications. Low density, high stiffness, very high strength, good damage tolerance make this plate product a very attractive choice for direct and engineered substitutions in all weight-critical applications.

Temper:

2195-T84 temper is obtained through a conventional one step aging treatment, preceded by a moderate level of cold work. Artificial aging is optimized to provide a good balance of static properties, fracture toughness with excellent stress corrosion resistance. Material can also be supplied in a very formable T34 temper. After forming, end user can convert parts or components to T84 condition.
