1213 Free Cutting Steel Bar
AISI 1213 free cutting steel, equivalent to EN1A/220M07. AISI 1213 is low carbon mild steel which is suitable for machining using both automatic and CNC machines. Available in square, round, flat or hexagon form. 1213 free-cutting steel is mainly used in the production of instruments, watch parts, automobiles, machine tools and other various machines with small forces and strict requirements on size and finish. It has strict requirements on dimensional accuracy and finish, but on mechanical properties. Standard parts with relatively low requirements, such as gears, shafts, bolts, valves, bushings, pins, pipe joints, spring cushions and machine tool screws, plastic molding molds, surgical and dental procedures, etc.
SAE-AISI 1213 steel is a resulfurized carbon steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 1213 is the designation in both the SAE and AISI systems for this material. G12130 is the UNS number.
