Y25 Free Cutting Steel Bar
Y25 free cutting steel is Chinese Standard high quality free cutting steel.
Y25 low-phosphorus phosphorus compound free-cutting steel has high mechanical properties, and the machinability is also properly improved. It can produce high-strength standard parts.
Its cutting performance is better than that of No. 25 steel, the heat treatment process is basically the same, and the quenching cracking sensitivity is quite or slightly poor, and the quenching medium can be selected according to the shape and complexity of the parts. It is used to make non-heat treatment standard parts with high strength requirements, and it can also be used to make heat treatment parts. When the Y30 is machined into small parts, it can be tempered to increase its life.
Chemical composition:
- Carbon C: 0.27 to 0.35
- Silicon Si: 0.15 to 0.35
- Manganese Mn: 0.70 to 1.00
- Sulfur S: 0.08 to 0.15
- Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.06
Performance and Application:
Low-sulphur and phosphorus composite easy-cutting steel has higher mechanical properties, and its machinability is better than that of Y20. Non-heat-treated standard parts or heat-treated parts that require higher strength are manufactured, and small parts can be subjected to quenching and tempering.
