55CrMnA Spring Steel Bar
55CrMnA spring steel has higher strength, plasticity and toughness, better hardenability, lower overheat sensitivity than manganese steel, lower decarburization tendency than silico-manganese steel, and greater temper brittleness. The outstanding advantage is that it has good hardenability. In addition, thermal processing performance, comprehensive mechanical properties, and decarburization resistance are also good. It is also used in the vehicle and tractor industries to make leaf springs with heavier loads and greater stress and coil springs with larger diameters.

Heat treatment specifications:
quenching 830 ~ 860 ℃, oil cooling; tempering 460 ~ 510 ℃.
