Y4 Hardware Tool Steel Sheet alsoc called die steel characteristics 4Cr3Mo2MnVNiB steel. The steel developed by the Shanghai Institute of Materials, Y is the pressure of the word "Ya" word pinyin prefix, Y4 die-casting die steel No. 4. The steel has high thermal strength and thermal stability, and has good toughness, thermal conductivity and process performance, forging performance is good. The steel is designed for copper alloy die-casting mold, the temperature of the copper alloy solution is usually 880 ~ 960 ℃, the hardenability of the steel is better than 3Cr2W8V steel, the hardness is 49 ~ 50HRC.

Hot working specification Heating temperature 1100 ~ 1150 ℃, initial forging temperature 1050 ~ 1100 ℃, final forging temperature ≥ 850 ℃. blank isothermal nodular annealing specification (840 ~ 860) ℃ * (2-4) h, with the furnace cooling, (670 ~ 690) ℃ * (4 ~ 6) h, and then baked air cooling, hardness 170 ~ 181HBS, Metallography for the pearlite point.

 

 

Ordinary quenching and tempering specifications:

 

Quenching temperature 1050 ~ 1100 ℃, oil cooling, quenching hardness 58 ~ 59HRC, tempering temperature 600 ~ 680 ℃, hardness 49 ~ 52HRC.
