SUS330 Super Stainless Steel Bar

SUS 330 is an austenitic heat and corrosion resistance alloy that provides the combination of strength and resistance to carburization, oxidation and thermal shock. It is designed for the applications in the elevated temperature industrial conditions where good resistance to the mixed effects of carburization and thermal cycling is necessary like in the heat processing industry.

The resistance to carburization and oxidation is enhanced up to 2100°F by silicon. SUS 3330 is fully austenitic at the whole temperatures and is not prone to embrittlement from sigma phase formation. It has solid solution composition and is not hardenable through heat processing. Its high strength and good corrosion resistance properties make it a highly significant material for the industrial heating furnaces.

Stainless steel SUS 330 is a high alloy steel. The presence of large content of chromium in the steel 330 offers excellent corrosion resistance. The stainless steels are classified into martensitic, ferritic and austenitic on the base of their crystalline structure. Although the stainless steels introduced in the form of a mixture of martenistic and austenitic steels are also called as precipitation hardened steels. The stainless steel 330 has high strength and resistance to oxidation and carburization up to 1200°C or 2200°F.
