30CrMoV9 Structural Steel Bar
30CrMoV9 belongs to the German standard nitriding structural steel. 30CrMoV9 is usually used to manufacture hardened and tempered parts, usually first mechanical processing and then nitriding use, such as open steel Membrane forgings, etc. The corresponding Chinese material is 30Cr2MoV . 30CrMoV9 produced structural parts with of medium and large cross sections and high surface hardness, suitabe to produce valve and gate valves, cylinders for combustion engines, superheated steam valves and fittings. Follow standard: DIN EN 10250-3-1999 .

30CrMoV9 HEAT TREATMENT:
Soft Annealing: Heat to 680-720°C, cool slowly. This will produce a maximum Brinell hardness of 248.
Nitriding:
Gas/plasma nitriding temperature (gas, salt bath): 570-580°C
Gas/plasma nitriding temperature (powder, plasma): 580°C
Surface hardness after nitriding: 800 HV
Hardening: Harden from a temperature of 850-880°C followed by oil quenching.
Tempering: Tempering temperature: 570-680°C.
Forging:
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850°C.
